Public Foreclosure Notice
NOTICE OF FORECLOSURE BY ADVERTISEMENT. Notice is given under section 3212 of the revised judicature act of 1961, 1961 PA 236, MCL 600.3212, that the following mortgage will be foreclosed by a sale of the mortgaged premises, or some part of them, at a public auction sale to the highest bidder for cash or cashier's check at the place of holding the circuit court in SAINT JOSEPH County, starting promptly at 10:00 AM, on July 23, 2026. MORTGAGE INFORMATION: Default has been made in the conditions of a certain mortgage made by Melissa Curiel, an unmarried woman, whose address is 411 Seventh Avenue, Three Rivers, Michigan 49093, as original Mortgagors, to Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems, Inc., as nominee for Amerifirst Financial Corporation, being a mortgage dated January 2, 2009, and recorded on March 23, 2022 with Document Number 2022002503. Said mortgage was modified by two loan modification agreements. The first dated April 11, 2016, recorded May 9, 2016, in Liber 1823 Page 889. The second dated March 11, 2022, recorded September 20, 2023, with document number 2023006760, Saint Joseph County Records, State of Michigan and assigned by said mortgagee through mesne assignments to Carrington Mortgage Services, LLC, as assignee as documented by an assignment dated April 6, 2023 and recorded on April 12, 2023 and given document number 2023002783 in Saint Joseph County Records, Michigan, on which mortgage there is claimed to be due at the date hereof the sum of FORTY-NINE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED NINETY-THREE AND 57/100 DOLLARS ($49,493.57). Said premises are situated in the City of Three Rivers, County of Saint Joseph, State of Michigan, and are described as: Lot 17, 18 and West 33 feet of Lot 16 Brooklyn Heights Addition City of Three Rivers according to the plat of record in the office of the register of deeds for St. Joseph County Michigan in liber 1 of plats on page 40. Street Address: 411 Seventh Avenue, Three Rivers, Michigan 49093 The redemption period shall be 6 months from the date of such sale, unless the property is determined abandoned in accordance with MCLA § 600.3241a in which case the redemption period shall be 30 days from the date of the sale.
